with only less than 0ne month left to The 2022 general elections, The Elections and Boundaries Commission(IEBC), is trying its best to ensure the smooth running of the event. For the success of such an important event? it must be noted to many Kenyans that several stakeholder bodies come into play. Just among the many fields, the ICT has a greater role to play in terms of transmission and relaying of the results. 

It was a concern that was raised by some of the Kenyan citizens that the Electoral body i.e. IEBC provides a means through which the public can follow up on the election transmission results. The suggestions raised included the availing of Integration systems like having an Application Programming Interface(API) that will be available to the public for real-time monitoring of the election results.

The greater question however is, With the limited time frame the Body has, can these milestones be possible?

Secondly, from a Technological point of view, Can these on the other hand create risks and bring about vulnerabilities bearing in mind that some of the systems might be publicly accessed by more people?
