What to know about "Green Card"
The DV Lottery, popularly known as the Green Card Applications 2022, is a program with the Us government that makes a limited number of immigrant visas available every year to people meeting certain eligibility requirements.
Each year, the US Department of State conducts a random selection of green card / Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV) applicants, with regards to allocations of available visas in each region and country, from all registered entries.
Am I eligible for application
Below are some but not all the requirements that one must atleast have to apply for the Green Card Applications 2022
- One of the requirements is that you must be a foreign citizen or in simple terms be one from a foreign country with a minimal immigration rate to the United States.
- for every year , the Department of State puts out a list of eligible or qualified and ineligible countries. The list of countries may change each year. Therefore before beginning the application, be sure to check the 2024 Diversity Visa Program instructions (PDF) for the recently updated list.
- Another requirement is that you must have graduated from high school i.e. Secondary School level here in Kenya or its equivalent or have a good work experience.
Application Procedure
The State Department Web site for the 2024 green card application (DV-2024) is now open. The entry submission period of Green Card Applications 2022 is from 12:00PM EDT (GMT -4) on October 5, 2022 to 12:00PM EST (GMT -5) on November 8, 2022. The entry form will only be available for submission during this period and this period only, there will be no extension on time concerning the same. Entries will NOT be accepted through the U.S. Postal Service.
